Biblical Meaning of Flowers In a Dream

All plants hold specific symbolic values and are also symbolic of spiritual things.

That is even written in scripture and revelation. Jesus said in his parables:

“Behold, a sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them. Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth. But when the sun was up, they were scorched, and because they had no root, they withered away. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them. But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” (Matt. 13:3-9)”.

His disciples asked Christ to reveal the meaning behind the parable, which he did. He said: the seed is the Word of God.

“Therefore, hear the parable of the sower: When anyone hears the Word of te Kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside.”(Matt. 13:18-19)

A “seed” is a symbol of the truth that lies in each person’s heart. If you accept it, that seed will begin its grow and eventually bear fruit. “But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the Word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. (Matt. 13:23)

The “fruit” Matt is talking about is the one you bear if you apply the truth to your life. You do good out of the love that grows within, but with truly good intentions.

This is not about self-honor or appearance. Whatever is said about the deed doesn’t matter as much; it is judged by your real intention. If you do good for the sake of self-reward or merit, it’s actually a selfish act. The ego needs to be shattered, love has to be the general rule.

The symbolism mentioned above can be applied to all of scripture, but that is not all. This symbolism can be used in the entire world of plants.

All of the flora has a spiritual correspondence, said Emanuel Swedenborg, who saw heavenly visions. (https://dream-prophecy.blogspot.com/2013/01/the-spiritual-symbolism-of-plants.html)

“When angels are discoursing about things of intelligence and wisdom, and about knowledge, then the influx from them into corresponding societies of spirits, falls into representations of such things as are in the vegetable kingdom; as into representations of paradises, of vineyards, of forests, of meadows with flowers, and into other beauties, which exceed all human imagination. Hence it is, that those things which are of wisdom and intelligence are described in the Word by paradises, vineyards, forests, meadows; and that where these things are named, such things are signified.” (Heavenly Arcana, n. 3220), (Selections from the Memorabilia of Svedenborg, Illustrative of his doctrines and disclosures).
